Clean Up Day

Our LCS students and staff participate in the Clean Up Australia Schools Day, each year. Each year level has a set area in and around the school or township to clean up. We love our school and our town and want to ensure they are tidy for us all to enjoy.

Swimming Sports

Our annual swimming carnival was held in Term One at the Lockington Pool. Students in Years 3-6 competed in a variety of events and cheered on Green and Gold House.

Playground Opening

The official opening of our new 3-6 Playground was in Term 3.

Whole School Production

The end of Term 3 culminated with our Whole-School Production. Each of our students danced, sung and performed to a series of songs from movies that had won Academy Awards. Our performance was entitled Locky On The Red Carpet.

Acknowledgement of Country

Here at Lockington Consolidated School, we would like to acknowledge and extend our appreciation for the Dja Dja Wurrung People, the Traditional Owners of the land that our school is situated on today. We pay our respects to leaders and Elder’s past, present and emerging for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture and the hopes of all Dja Dja Wurrung People. We express our gratitude in the sharing of this land, our sorrow for the personal, spiritual and cultural costs of that sharing and our hope that we may walk forward together in harmony and in the spirit of healing.
